On 7 February, approximately twenty church archivists met to hold a consultation in Pannonhalma. The archivists mainly come from Transdanubia and discussed the actual questions of the common ecclesiastical-archival homepage (Matricula), the register-database, the larger professional projects, and the processes of publishing books. After the Midday Office and lunch, they visited the Archabbey’s brewery in Ravazd where they became acquainted with the activity of the manufacture producing abbey-beer of Belgian type. They could taste same of the products, as well.

The Bulletin of the Collections of the Archabbey of Pannonhalma traditionally publishes papers discussing the history of the Benedictine Order and papers related to the collections of the Order. In the volumed published in December 2023, one of the papers discusses codex-leaves, which might have been parts of a missal with musical notation probably completed in the scriptorium of Tihany at the beginning of the 14th century, and which were used to comprise the binding of the account-book of one of the castellans of Tihany during the Turkish rule.

November 22–23-án az Energiaügyi Minisztérium csoportja látogatott a főapátságba. A csapatépítés és szakmai programok mellett levéltárunkat is felkeresték, ahol néhány középkori dokumentumot tekintettek meg, majd a monostor energiafelhasználásának történetével ismerkedtek meg.

2023. november 22-én rendezte meg a Magyar Uradalomtörténeti Társaság a 11. Országos Uradalomtörténeti Konferenciát Gödöllőn, a MATE Szent István Campusán. Négy év kényszerű szünet után találkoztak ismét a téma iránt érdeklődő kutatók, akik a Petőfi 200 jubileumi emlékévhez kapcsolódva az allodiális gazdálkodás reformkori sajátosságait helyezték előadásik középpontjába, de a vendégelőadók révén más érdekes témák is napirendre kerültek.

November 21-én grúz egyházi delegáció látogatott Pannonhalmára, melynek vezetője Theodore Chuadze, Akhaltsikhe és Tao-Klarjeti metropolitája volt. Rajta kívül Gerasim Sharashenidze, Saba Zaza Gigiberia, Amiran Gvazava metropoliták és Gia Zviadadze protopresbiter érkezett a főapátságba. A vendégek megtekintették a monostort, a kincstárt, a bazilikát, ahol egy rövid orgonakoncertet is meghallgathattak, részt vettek a napközi imaórán és együtt ebédeltek a bencés közösséggel. A levéltárban Dénesi Tamás, a könyvtárban Ásványi Ilona kalauzolta őket.

Az Egyházi Muzeológusok Egyesülete, az Országos Katolikus Gyűjteményi Központ és az Országos Egyházművészeti és Műemléki Tanács november 16-án Nyíregyházán, a Görögkatolikus Múzeumban tartotta szakmai napját. Az ország különböző pontjairól érkező szakemberek Szabó Irén igazgató vezetésével megtekintették a múzeum kiállításait és kötetlen eszmecsere során ismerhették meg a múzeum létrejöttét, gyűjteményeit, terveit. Terdik Szilveszter a Papnevelő Intézet kápolnájában, majd az újonnan kifestett Belvárosi Görögkatolikus Székesegyházban kalauzolta a kollégákat.

Due to a conflagration, the church of the Pannonhalma Archabbey built in the age of Saint Stephen had to be restored before 1137. The restoration that took place in the period of Béla II and Abbot David was followed with another large-scale process of construction in the 1210s. The church of Abbot Uros was completed just 800 years ago in 1224, and it was consecrated in the presence of King Andrew II.

The 25th Archivists’ Day in Győr and the 11th Archivists’ Day of the Little Plain was held in the ceremonial hall of Brenner János Theological College on 25 October. The Director of our Archives gave a talk entitled Benedictine Wills from the 17th–18th Centuries. According to their Rules, Benedictine monks had to dispose of their inherited wealth prior to their vows. In his talk, based on wills from the period between 1661 and 1778, Tamás Dénesi discussed the social background, the scheme of connections, education, and spirituality of those who joined the Order.

A jezsuita rend feloszlatásának 250. és Pray György jezsuita történész születésének 300. évfordulója tiszteletére az ELTE Egyetemi Könyvtár és Levéltár, az Országos Széchényi Könyvtár, a Történettudományi Intézet és a Jézus Társasága Magyarországi Rendtartománya közös szervezésében kétnapos konferenciát tartottak Budapesten.
