On 24 February 2023, on the occasion of the Memorial Day for the Victims of Communism, the Institute for National Heritage – with a commemorative plaque and a plot-stone – marked the resting place of the religious, who died in the Social Home of Pannonhalma. The list of names of the religious buried in the plot can be checked on the Institute’s homepage.
On 29 November, the archivists’ autumnal conference of the Centre for National Catholic Collections was organised with the title “The Lamps of the Wise Virgins” discussing the history of church estates. Zoltán Boros (archivist, Pannonhalma) gave a talk on the latest results of the historical research focusing on Benedictine estates. Krisztina Tóth, the delegate of the Hungarian Archival Agency in the Vatican gave an introductory talk.
November 29-én rendezték meg az Országos Katolikus Gyűjteményi Központ őszi levéltáros konferenciáját Az okos szűzek mécsese címmel, melynek témája az egyházi birtokok története volt. A rendezvényen elhangzott Boros Zoltán pannonhalmi levéltáros előadása a bencés birtokok történeti kutatásának legfrisebb eredményeiről. A konferencián bemutatkoró előadást tartott Tóth Krisztina, a Vatikáni Magyar Levéltári Kirendeltség delegátusa.
A Magyar Tudomány Ünnepe programsorozat keretében november 25-én kerül sor a Stabilitas loci Benedictini – Bencések évszázadai a legfrissebb kutatások tükrében című konferenciára. A programot a Bölcsészettudományi Kutatóközpont és az Eötvös Loránd Kutatási Hálózat szervezi.
Pannonhalmán november 18-án kétszázötven meghívott részvételével került sor a Szent Márton-díj átadására. A Pannonhalmi Főapátság, a Herendi Porcelánmanufaktúra és a Bábolna Nemzeti Ménesbirtok által alapított díjat idén a koronavírus árváit felkaroló Regőczi Alapítvány létrehozói, Áder János és felesége, Herczegh Anita kapták.
The Saint Martin Prize Ceremony took place in the presence of 250 invited participants in Pannonhalma on 18 November. This year, the prize established by the Archabbey of Pannonhalma, the Herend Porcelain Manufactory, and the Bábolna National Stud-Farm was awarded to János Áder and his wife, Anita Herczeg, the founders of the Regőczi Foundation supporting those orphaned by Covid-19.
Within the framework of the series of programmes dedicated to the Hungarian Science Festival, on 25 November 2022, a conference was held with the title “Stabilitas loci Benedictini – The Benedictines’ Centuries in the Light of the Latest Researches”. It was organised by the Research Centre for the Humanities and the Hungarian Research Network.
1568-ból származik az a perirat, amelyet Levéltárunk az Apelso Trust Zrt. támogatásából tudott restauráltatni. A 11 méter hosszú papírtekercs a monostorhoz tartozó felvidéki településsel, Deákival kapcsolatos 1562-es tanúvallomásokat tartalmaz.
Befejeződött a Pannonhalmi Főapátsági Levéltár 18. századi segédkönyveinek, a főapátság középkori okleveleinek (Capsarium) szövegmásolatait tartalmazó Liber Niger restaurálása. A három kötet restaurálásának kivitelezése Fehrentheil Henriette és a szentendrei Ars Alba műhelymunkája, az anyagi hátteret a Nemzeti Kultúrális Alap biztosította.
The conservation of the 18th-century reference books of the Pannonhalma Archabbey Archives and that of Liber niger containing the textual copies of the Archabbey’s mediaeval documents (Capsariumn) has been completed. The conservation of the three volumes was finished by Henriette Fehrentheil and the workshop of Ars Alba in Szentendre. The financial assistance was provided by the National Cultural Fund of Hungary.
Owing to the financial assistance of Apelso Trust Zrt, our Archives could have the set of written pleadings of 1568 repaired. The 11-metre-long roll of paper contains the pieces of evidence of 1562 related to Deáki, the Archabbey’s estate in Upper Hungary.
Levéltárunk Ordine et disciplina reformare – Szerzetesi reformok Magyarországon címmel 2022. szeptember 16-án a Pannonhalmi Bencés Gimnázium dísztermében egyháztörténeti konferenciát szervezett, amely 18 előadásban az elmúlt ezer év szerzetesi reformjait tárta fel. A konferencia kapcsolódott a Főapátság idei spirituális-kulturális tematikus évéhez, amelynek mottója a megújulás.
Our Archives organised a conference of church history entitled “Ordine et disciplina reformare – Religious reforms in Hungary” on 16 September 2022 in the ceremonial hall of the Benedictine Secondary School in Pannonhalma with the aim of discussing the religious reforms of the past millennium in 18 presentations. The conference was related to the Archabbey’s actual thematic year of spirituality-and-culture whose motto was “renewal”.

A Lónyay Menyhért születésnek 200. évfordulója alkalmából meghirdetett Lónyay 200 emlékév keretében 2022. augusztus 29-én Nyíregyházán, a Magyar Nemzeti Levéltár Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg Megyei Levéltárának szervezésében Lónyay-források címmel rendeztek konferenciát. A rendezvény célja a Lónyay család történetére vonatkozó levéltári források őrzőhelyeinek számbevétele volt.
Within the framework of the commemorative year of Lónyay 200 announced on the occasion of the 2nd centenary of the birth of Menyhért Lónyay, a conference entitled Lónyai-Sources was held on 29 August 2022 in Nyíregyháza organised by the Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County Archives, the local branch of the Hungarian National Archives. The programme’s aim was to make a survey of the repositories of the archival sources related to the history of the Lónyay family.
A nagy tekintélyű levéltárosról, történészéről, Dóka Kláráról elnevezett díjat vehetett át levéltárunk igazgatója, Dénesi Tamás 2022. július 11-én, Székesfehérváron. A Magyar Levéltárosok Egyesülete a kitüntetéssel a levéltárügy területén huzamosabb időn át kimagasló szakmai munkát végző levéltári munkatársakat ismeri el.

The medal named after Klára Dóka, the archivist and historian of great prestige was awarded to Tamás Dénesi, the Director of our Archives on 11 July 2022 in Székesfehérvár. With this medal, the Association of Hungarian Archivists awards those archivists, who perform outstanding professional work in the field of archivism for a considerable period.
Az Egyházi Könyvtárak Egyesülése (EKE) június 27. és 29. között Pannonhalmán tartotta éves vándorgyűlését. Csaknem 90 könyvtáros vett részt a rendezvényen, melynek keretében a főapátság intézményeit is meglátogatták.
