The Benedictine Secondary School of Győr Is 400 Years Old

The school-year of 2026–2027 is a special time of thanksgiving and celebration in the lives of the Benedictines of Győr: it celebrates the 400th anniversary of the founding of the Jesuit-founded Benedictine secondary school. As one of the milestones of the jubilee, a new, exciting, interactive exhibition opened on May 15th in the attic of the convent and church. The special exhibition titled 400 Academic Years, Living Heritage in the Benedictine Secondary School – curated by our colleague Mariann Szlavkovszky – takes visitors through the history of the Czuczor Gergely Benedictine Secondary School.
