Our Archives organised a conference of church history entitled “Ordine et disciplina reformare – Religious reforms in Hungary” on 16 September 2022 in the ceremonial hall of the Benedictine Secondary School in Pannonhalma with the aim of discussing the religious reforms of the past millennium in 18 presentations. The conference was related to the Archabbey’s actual thematic year of spirituality-and-culture whose motto was “renewal”.

A Lónyay Menyhért születésnek 200. évfordulója alkalmából meghirdetett Lónyay 200 emlékév keretében 2022. augusztus 29-én Nyíregyházán, a Magyar Nemzeti Levéltár Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg Megyei Levéltárának szervezésében Lónyay-források címmel rendeztek konferenciát. A rendezvény célja a Lónyay család történetére vonatkozó levéltári források őrzőhelyeinek számbevétele volt.
Within the framework of the commemorative year of Lónyay 200 announced on the occasion of the 2nd centenary of the birth of Menyhért Lónyay, a conference entitled Lónyai-Sources was held on 29 August 2022 in Nyíregyháza organised by the Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County Archives, the local branch of the Hungarian National Archives. The programme’s aim was to make a survey of the repositories of the archival sources related to the history of the Lónyay family.
A nagy tekintélyű levéltárosról, történészéről, Dóka Kláráról elnevezett díjat vehetett át levéltárunk igazgatója, Dénesi Tamás 2022. július 11-én, Székesfehérváron. A Magyar Levéltárosok Egyesülete a kitüntetéssel a levéltárügy területén huzamosabb időn át kimagasló szakmai munkát végző levéltári munkatársakat ismeri el.

The medal named after Klára Dóka, the archivist and historian of great prestige was awarded to Tamás Dénesi, the Director of our Archives on 11 July 2022 in Székesfehérvár. With this medal, the Association of Hungarian Archivists awards those archivists, who perform outstanding professional work in the field of archivism for a considerable period.
Az Egyházi Könyvtárak Egyesülése (EKE) június 27. és 29. között Pannonhalmán tartotta éves vándorgyűlését. Csaknem 90 könyvtáros vett részt a rendezvényen, melynek keretében a főapátság intézményeit is meglátogatták. Levéltárunkban az Árpád-kori dokumentumok kapcsán könyv- és könyvtártörténeti érdekességekkel ismerkedhettek meg. A szakmai programról részletesen itt tájékozódhat.
The Association of the Ecclesiastical Libraries (EKE) held its annual itinerary conference in Pannonhalma between 27 and 29 June. Almost 90 librarians took part in the programme, and they also visited the Archabbey’s institutions. In our Archives, they were introduced to remarkable books and interesting items of library-history related to documents of the Arpadian age. The detailed professional programme is available here.
A Magyarországi Egyházi Levéltárosok Egyesülete (MELTE) idei vándorgyűlésének június 20. és 22. között a D50 Kulturális Központ és Hotel adott otthont. A hétfői közgyűlésen az egyesület névváltoztatásáról döntöttünk. Szervezetünk neve ezentúl: Magyar Egyházi Levéltárosok Egyesülete. A tisztújító közgyűlésen Dénesi Tamást, a főapátsági levéltár igazgatóját az egyesület intézőbizottságának tagjává választoták. A keddi napot szakmai előadások töltötték meg, hétfőn és szerdán pedig főváros megújult kultúrális intézményeivel ismerkedtünk.
The Association of Hungarian Church Archivists (MELTE) held its annual itinerary conference at D50 Cultural Centre and Hotel between 20 and 22 June. On the Monday ordinary meeting, we decided on the change of the association’s name. Henceforth, the name of our association: Association of Hungarian Church Archivists. On the general meeting for election of officials, Dénesi Tamás, the Director of the Archabbey’s Archives was elected to serve as a member of the Association’s executive committee.
A Nemzeti Emlékezet Bizottsága 2022. június 15-én "A következő láncszem" címmel tartott konferenciát Budapesten, melynek témája a gazdasági hatalom kisajátítása, az államosítás és a magyar gazdaság 1945 és 1949 között bekövetkezett szovjetizációja volt. A konferencián elhangzott Boros Zoltán levéltáros előadása: A bencés rendi vagyon államosításának lépései 1945 és 1950 között.
The Committee of National Remembrance held a conference entitled “The Next Ling in the Change” in Budapest on 05 June 2022. Its theme focussed on the Sovietization of the appropriation of economic power, nationalization, and Hungarian economy between 1945 and 1949. The presentation of Boros Zoltán, archivist was entitled: The Steps of the Secularization of the Property of the Benedictine Order between 1945 and 1950.
A Pannonhalmi Főapátság és a Rákóczi Szövetség által meghirdetett 21. Cultura Nostra Történelmi Verseny ünnepélyes eredményhirdetésére került sor június 2-án. A legjobb helyezést elért középiskolás diákok és felkészítő tanáraik tudományos előadásokon vehettek részt a főapátságban, majd megismerhették az ezeréves monostor templomát, kerengőjét és könyvtárát. The solemn announcement of results of the 21st Cultura Nostra History Competition organized by the Pannonhalma Archabbey, and the Rákóczi Association took place on 2 June. The best place-winning secondary-school pupils and the teachers training them could attend scholarly lectures in the Archabbey, then they were showed round in the church, cloister and library of the millennial monastery. The programme was concluded with the presentation of valuable items of the Archives.
A Veszprémi Érseki Főiskolán 2022. május 4-én az egyházmegye 1777–1850 közötti történetéről szerveztek konferenciát. A rendezvény a már hagyományosnak mondható egyházmegye-történeti konferenciasorozatba illeszkedett. Dénesi Tamás Feloszlatás és reorganizáció. Bencés intézmények az egyházmegyében címmel tartott előadást.
In the Veszprém Archiepiscopal College, on 4 May 2022, a conference was organized on the history of the diocese between 1777 and 1850. The programme was a part of the series of conferences on diocesan history that has become traditional by this time. Dénesi Tamás gave a talk on Dissolution and Reorganization: Benedictine Institutions in the Diocese.
A Pannonhalmi Területi Apátság anyakönyveinek digitalizált gyűjteménye a "Matricula" közös egyházi levéltári oldalra költözött. Az új kutatók már a matricula.hu oldalon tudnak regisztrálni. Regisztráció és belépés után az "Előfizetés" menüpontban rendelhető meg szolgáltatásunk, ezt kell a kosárba tenni. Az átutalásos fizetés beérkezésekor az eddigi módon aktiváljuk a hozzáféréseket, és az előfizetők e-mailen kapják meg a számlájukat. Előfizetés meghosszabbítása esetén is kérjük, hogy regisztráljanak a matricula.hu-n.
The collection of the digitalised registers of births, marriages and deaths in the Territorial Abbey of Pannonhalma has been moved to "Matricula", the shared ecclesiastic archival webpage. New researchers can register on the webpage of matricula.hu. After registration and entry, it is in the “Subscription” ("Előfizetés") menu item where our service can be ordered by putting it into the cart. Accesses will be activated as before on receipt of the bank transfer, and subscribers will get their bills in e-mail. Also, in case of subscription-renewal, you are required to register on matricula.hu. The automation of the registration-process and the construction of the bankcard-payment are both in progress.
