Scriptorium-Conference in Esztergom
On 22nd and 23rd May, the 8th Scriptorium-Conference was held in Saint Adalbert Event Center, Esztergom. The conference-series concentrates on manuscripts, especially ecclesiastical manuscripts. The programme’s reports discussed some aspects of manuscripts (codices, autograph works, autograph devotional literature, autograph hymnals, notes in works – mainly in incunabula or old prints – kept in library collections, marginal comments, and the presentation of the manuscript stacks of some collections, etc.). The two-day scholarly conference was organised by the Primate Archives, the Centre for National Catholic Collections and Department of Classical Philology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Pázmány Péter Catholic University.
As a part of the rich programme, Dénesi Tamás, the Director of the Archives talked about the Archabbey’s 17th-18th-century rotula-collection kept in the University Library since the Order’s dissolution in 1786.
