A Day Excursion in Veszprém

On 7 June, the colleagues of the cultural section (library, archives, museum, cultural office) of Pannonhalma went on a day excursion in Veszprém, where they visited the castle district under reconstruction. In the cathedral, the organist Attila Dankos talked about and played the organ, then Veronika Nagy, the Director of the Blessed Gizella Archiepiscopal Collection showed us around in the cathedral. Veronika guided us in the buildings under reconstruction: the Gizella Chapel, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Franciscan church, and the original sculptures of the sculptural group of the Holy Trinity on exhibition here, the exhibitions in the Körmendy House and the Bíró-Giczey House (Work in Progress 2023), and thus we could cast a glance at the works in progress.
